More typefaces, still using "dafont"

These are the different typefaces i came up with for my title, i used "dafont" to find these different fonts.

These are names i came up with for my magazine front cover. The ones which are in bold are the ones which i prefer the most out of them all. The one i decided to use is "The 6th Former"

Example of a teenager based magazine. My front cover will be similar to this as it will also be based around teenagers and will have a funky look to it. Although this is not a school magazine, i will adapt the ideas into my own magazine cover and combine the looks together.

Introduction!

My preliminary task is to create a magazine cover for a School, I will be using Heston Community School and will be basing the theme of the front cover on the 6th form New York trip which is taking place. My audience will be the 6th formers of the school, this means the magazine cover will have to appeal to an older audience making it less childish.

I hope to achieve a modern, fun outlook of the school. I also hope to learn alot about using different types of software such as editing pictures on photoshop. This will hopefully help me learn more about planning for my main task. I will include a photograph of a student in a medium close up and a masthead for my front cover.

The requirements of my task is to take a photograph which i will be doing whilst in New York and using DTP and Photoshop to edit the photograph and add text to create a magazine front page. I will also need to create a name of the school magazine which i will be planning out. I will be experimenting and researching different magazines, pictures and fonts/texts.

The purpose of this publication is to inform students and also entertain them with the information provided. As i am basing my magazine cover on the New York trip, i would like it to look fun and interesting.

If this was a real magazine, it would be distributed every month as there will be suffecient information to fill the magazine with by the end of the month. This is because one or two weeks worth of news will not be enough to fill a total magazine.

I will hope to attract my audience by using funky fonts and bold, eyecatching colours. I will also be experimenting with photoshop and different types of DTP to help create my magazine cover. I will be researching into different magazines also to generate new ideas.
